Over late night falafels in Williamsburg, Radha + Brimer hatch the initial early morning dance experiment they called "DAYBREAKER".

"What if we could dance in the morning before going to work, without substances, and create an inclusive environment to connect, self-express and move our bodies with reckless abandon? What if we could make New York City, arguably one of the world's loneliest cities, a place of community and belonging?"

Union Square, NYC
For our very first DAYBREAKER, we gather 180 friends in the basement lounge of Coffee Shop in Union Square.

It was the first day of snowfall. The 180 friends who didn't hit snooze, trekked across town to dance for the very first time at sunrise, are the ones we owe this movement to.

Movements are built when people take ownership, show up, invite their friends and contribute their gifts. #grateful

Our mischievous morning experiment expands to the West Coast for the first time.

San Francisco sells out launch event with 400+ community members ready to dance at dawn and Los Angeles follows shortly after with almost 380 friends gather in Venice.

Both communities alone account for almost
80K members today.

From January to December, we launch a new city every month in the most unique spaces with epic partners including the White House, museums and triple decker boats.

We launch our evening series, DUSK, to give a facelift to "happy hour" and offer another dancing, healthier, more inclusive option to post work activities.

We explore new projects and launch DAYBREAKER in 5 new cities. We launch DAYBREAKER Campus in a dozen colleges to offer college students an alternative way to connect, dance and have fun. We expand the team to 35 Producers and Community Catalysts around the world. Radha begins writing BELONG to open source how we architected our community around the world to support other community builders and architects.

Five years strong and our movement keeps on growing.

We launch Philadelphia, Stockholm and San Diego. We expand our membership in our existing cities and focus on deepening with our community. Radha publishes Belong and 25K+ copies ship around the world.
D.O.S.E.
In her research, Radha coins the shorthand D.O.S.E. to represent the four happiness brain chemicals Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins.
